So within a short amount of time you level, which ruins the entire setup you're using by launching you into mediocrity following everyone and their uncle using this setup at level 20. I don't see the point, the 'rofl low health protective spirit' thing is pretty stale by now.

First of all, i was looking for the first flaming/insulting posts to come... GJ you're the winner. Can't you people post something whithout name calling or insults in it ???

- The point actually is to get level fast to reach Level 20 or around, this can be achieved fast and with no expensive runes. With 3 chars already ascended, i don't want to spend my whole time doing unecessary missions/bonus/quests to reach level 20 fast.

- Just look at the first point, I stated it's nothing new around... If you don't stand such builds then go on some other topic as advised. I created the vid for people who want to see it, not to be flamed by every anti-smite build player around.

- You don't know me, how i play, and what i intend, so drop the 'medicority' criticism. Yes i do copy other people builds if they work fine, that doesn't mean i don't come up with builds on my own too. Also if you could gain benefit from it by levelling at a rocket-speed rate, wouldn't you do it too ?

Just ignore him/her, it's impossible to avoid trolls entirely, even when you provide a disclaimer at the start of the post.

If you experiment with your own builds, why not showcase some of the results of that instead? Even if it doesn't compare to the effectiveness of a low-hp protective spirit build, it can at least provide people with new build ideas or insight into skill combinations and deployment, in other words actually have value; I don't see the point of claiming you've got a 5400 XP/minute build only to reveal the build isn't yours, isn't original and on top of that requires you to be level 14, which turns the promise of a high exp/minute build entirely void considering the very act of playing it will work against its premise.

Either people play normally and get to level 20 somewhere between Maguuma Stade and Lion's Arch, they're rushed straight to Droknar where they end up as level 2 or 3, or they're rushed to the Crystal Desert for ascension where they end up at a similarly low level, still unable to deal with this kind of farming, and even for those rushed, the majority of their career is going to consist of level 20+ skill point farming to make up for the skill quests they missed, which makes the level 14-20 trajectory pretty negligable - there's a pretty good chance you're the only level 14 E/Mo in the entire game who was rushed to the desert and in need of powerlevelling.

Where I agree with Oscar the Grouch aka Silmor, in that if you have builds of your own that you've come up with it would be more condusive to the community aspect of these forums to post info on those rather than what you did................I don't agree with his posture in expressing it.

He and all the other "holier than thou" trolls should just stfu if/when they read something that to THEM isn't original or to THEM doesn't make sense. It's also very ironic that he clearly points out the anti-logic of this build and how being lvl 13-14ish at the start contradicts the purpose of 5400exp/min because you'd soon be higher level and earning less exp/min.............isn't that the same thing as the typical FLAMING which he just did?
You're basic point was "whats the point", I could say the same for the time & effort you put into downing GuildWarsPlayer just because what he shared...YOU...didn't like.

There's already low-health farming videos available on this forum, so it's not a matter of whether or not they're original/sensible to me, it's a matter of whether they're original/sensible to the forum. The point of my post was to rudely discourage people to showcase imitation of others, in the hope that next time someone thinks about showcasing something, he'll try to actually showcase something that adds to this forum.

How is pointing a self-contradiction in nature of a demonstrated build in any way related to flaming? How is your putting down of me different from me putting down GuildWarsPlayer, aren't you just as eager to pose as 'holier than thou'? Where is your comment on the actual video, if you're so hot on making a relevant point?

So many times when I come to read on something new or different that a player has tried and shares his build and what he does with it that is even a little out of the ordinary, they get a few people immediately going " I don't see why you did this, when _____ build is already here, does the same thing, and does it faster."

So when Silmor or somebody says to post something original or different, somebody else will tell them that something original or different isn't as good as what has been tested and proven.

Forum trolls are sad, miserable people I imagine.

I'm sad though that I didn't get to see the video or the post from GWP because he has taken the post down from people looking, reading, and immediately responding with some form of idiocy.

If you don't have something decent to say, don't say it, please. I don't even care if you don't like his build, state why even, maybe TEST his build, if you can.

Just no room for creativity around here, somedays.

Edit: And for the record, I don't dislike any of the posters here, I just get frustrated. Constructive criticism, even if in small doses, goes a long way.

I'm not saying his build is worse than other builds. His build is identical to what other people are using, the only thing 'out of the ordinary' is his level, and instead of admitting that's rather troublesome considering part of the build (getting to 10hp max) involves the low level, he's boasting it as the selling point of the video - 5400 XP per minute for as long as you manage to stay level 14!

I love creativity. My constructive criticism was for him to actually use his, instead of taking effort to record a concept proven to death, in a setup which very few people will ever have a use for and is pretty much old trash with a fresh ribbon around it. I'm not a member of iQ, and my track record of playing with iQ members consists of one Random Arena round where by complete coincidence I landed in a team with Shinsei. I see iQ members get insulted on these forums day by day, and yet none of the people insulting them end up banned, so I'm quite curious where you get the idea that it's somehow a bannable offense on here. in any event...you could control yourself with more maturity. You are correct in that we don't need to be flooded with videos of the same builds over and over again. But nobody is going to take you seriously if you handle that argument like an angry 12 year old.

If it's a bad post to begin with, what's wrong with saying so? How is defending my position when accused 'ego'? It was old news to the OP, he even said so, and it was old news to the Guild Wars community over a month ago. Sure, new players join Guild Wars every day. Does that mean we should make videos of how to finish the Northern Wall mission as well?

1.Considering the VASTNESS of these forums and my own difficulty with "searching" and subsequent "finding" of exactly what I am looking for.......I wouldn't fault anyone for posting a video/commentary/suggestion of something that's already been posted.

2. I tried downloading the video but it was taking FAAAR too long and I was doing it at work on a T1 direction connection, so I never viewed it.

3. I'm not intereted in solo/farming builds simply because I enjoy the game with other people.....not just lil ole me.

4. The difference between me downing you and you downing GuildWarsPlayer - true both were Flames - yours of him was undeserved completely. Mine of you or any other "holier than thou", is always deserved.<--As mentioned above, just because it may have been brought up before doesn't mean that person knows that or had the time to search thru the endless amount of threads on these forums so for all YOU know...to him it was an original build idea....he may not have found something identical to what he offered. And even if he did "copy", having it as a fresh topic helps those new and old to the forums so they don't have to DIG into every last thread that may hit on a search for "e/mo farming" etc. Far to many threads with the words Monk or farming in them that don't even pertain to build ideas.....just people complaining about them......GuildWarsPlayer.....continue to post your ideas and don't bother worrying about the Nay-Sayers.....let me do that ;-)

If you had any reading comprehension whatsoever, you'd have learned that iQ hasn't got anything to do with this.
